Introducing our 2017-2018 Auriel Scholar

Francesca Primeggia

Soprano and Auriel Camerata Scholar Francesca Primeggia is a senior Music B.A. student with a concentration in Vocal Performance at The College of Saint Rose. She grew up in Croton-on-Hudson, New York and started studying music at the age of 6 with piano lessons, and participated in all choirs throughout younger schooling.  Now at The College of Saint Rose she performs with the Masterworks Choral, Madrigals Ensemble, Opera Workshop and is Assistant Director for the Chamber Choir.  Francesca is also a member and co-musical director for the all female A Cappella group, The Girls Next Door.  


Auriel Scholar Alumni

2016/17 – Baritone and Auriel Camerata Scholar Collin Farquhar is a young performer and student.  He grew up in Glenfield, New York where he began studying and practicing music; taking lessons in voice and piano, as well as performing in lead roles in musical productions.  Now in Albany, he has performed with the St. Rose Masterworks Chorale, Chamber Choir, Madrigal Ensemble, and Men’s Glee.  Collin is a member of The Other Guys A Cappella, and competed with the group as a soloist in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA).  Last year he performed internationally in Salzburg, Austria. He is currently studying music, computer science, and physics at The College of St. Rose.

 

 

 

Joe Badore

2015/16 – Tenor and Auriel Scholar Joe Badore is a young performer and educator originally from Bristol, CT, now residing in the Albany area. Joe participated in last year’s Auriel Scholar Master Class with Maureen O’Flynn. He participated in an international choir tour in Lyon, France in 2014 and has an anticipated tour in Salzburg, Austria. Joe has been a musical director of the collegiate mixed a cappella group, The Golden Notes, on campus for 2 years. The Golden Notes have performed in Albany, the greater Capital Region, and beyond. He has previous experience competing and soloing internationally in past ensembles. He has also been a soloist with groups including the College of Saint Rose Masterworks Chorale and Chamber Choir. Joe is currently a senior Music Education major with a concentration in voice, studying with Woodrow Bynum at The College of Saint Rose.

Caleb Eick
2014/15 – Baritone and Auriel Scholar Caleb Eick is an emerging young performer and administrator in New York’s Capitol Region. As a solo artist Caleb has performed at many venues across New York including the Chatauqua Institute, the Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing, the Tannery Pond Community Center in North Creek, as well as various local churches and small venues. He has been featured as a soloist with groups including the College of Saint Rose Masterworks Choral, Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church of Albany, and the First United Methodist Church of Delmar. Caleb has participated in two international choir tours in Cork, Ireland in 2012 and Lyon, France in 2014. He recently held a position as the Arts Administration Intern at the Lake George Music Festival and is was the Vocal Intern at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church of Albany. Caleb earned his B.A. degree in Music: Voice at the College of Saint Rose in May 2015 and now studies at the graduate level at East Carolina University in North Carolina.
