The Joy of Christmas ~ Music Past & Present

This seasonal program highlights music through the ages celebrating the joy of the holiday season. This all a-cappella program represents composers from the 15th century to composers living today.
Featured composers include: Thomas Luis de Victoria, Anton Bruckner, Edward Elgar, Herbert Howells, Libby Larson, and Auriel Camerata tenor, Michael Harrison, whose arrangement of “Silent Night” brings a moving new perspective to a familiar text. The program also features fascinating arrangements of well-known melodies by modern composers Steve Zegree, David Willcocks, and Jerry Rubino.
Finally, we present local composer Bryan Kirk’s exciting arrangement of “There’s a Star in the East” and John Benware’s never-before-heard thrilling fugue on “Deck the Hall” which you will not want to miss!
